Never have I had such terrible condensation in my wellies than new Dunlop ones I bought (rubber/pvc mix). Tried a welly liner and still awful.
Desperately seeking BREATHABLE warm winter boots for mucking out, trudging through water and mud and being on my feet at the yard 9 hours per day? Please tell me there is an amazing boot out there I can purchase. My last pair were a non branded hand me down from my forgetful mother they were amazing for years and years. Unfortunately the inevitable split happened :(

I wish I knew the answer.
have tried expensive Aigle, mid-price Muck Boots and cheap Decathlon.
The Aigle were the worst as they make your socks fall down. Muck Boots split after a few months and the Decathlon are not very warm.
Sorry I have not helped, but I feel your pain.
Maybe someone will tell us.

I have just bought a pair of lechameau neoprene lined wellies for my yard job. I am probably 9n the go in them for 13.5 hours a day and they are so warm to the point I wish I'd gone a size down and was only able to wear thin socks.
They are currently in sale with £100 off

Grubs Frostline - are now on winter 5 of hard use both walking, yard jobs and days of standing teaching.

Mine split in under 3 months.

OP- I am a welly killer, it doesn’t matter the price, I kill them. I also can’t stand damp feet from condensation. Around February time, in desperation, I bought a pair of tall neoprene lined wellies from amazon- £15. Hoped they’d get me through til April. They are still going strong! That’s unheard of for me.

I bought some muck boot wellies in the sale online (£27), they split in less than 12 months, I contacted muck boot as they had a two year guarantee and they sent out a brand new pair to me with a two year guarantee. They’re still going strong. Very comfy and it sweaty.

Is “condensation problem “ a polite term for sweaty feet? ? I didn’t know non sweaty wellies were a thing.

My right welly has had a split for ages, now paddock is quite ( very) wet and so are my feet, I must get a pair of non condensation wellies!

ETA I’ve just ordered a pair of grubs rainline wellies. Slightly worried by the instruction to wash wellies after each use... I will report back as to how dry my feet stay!

I, too, feel your pain op.

like others ive tried dunlop £25....thin rubber great for summer but not breathable because, lets face it, rubber isnt breathable. So damp socks at end of 8+ hour day wearing them with thin socks.

muck boots - £100 - neoprene with rubber foot - heavy, non flexible welllies. Lower calf ache end of day. Warmer than dunlop for winter. Nice cushioned sole. BUT after 4 months the rubber sole split away from main foot bed at heel - re-glued with proper boot glue cobblers use, but still split again. Bought another pair, within 12 weeks sole split again. Muck boots made in china now...like most stuff... same price tag....crap! Feet damp at end of day.

So i think i need some tougher wellies - BOG boots....£100 ....neoprene , same design as Muck boots, but way tougher sole. Very heavy to be wearing all day long. Damp socks...and the sole split off the footbed after a few months of daily wear!!

So i switched to yard boots and ditched wellies to wear all day long except when trudging through deep mud - i use cheap dunlops. Wolfwear yard boots are comfy. True to size, if not a bit big. Velcro easy on/off. The rubber part extends up the foot more so than other yard boots so better for stomping through mud thats 6 inches deep. Feet didnt get damp, being ankle boots i guess feet could breathe easier. The rubber is really flexible so no breaking them in, blisters..

wellies are designed for dog walkers and fisher men for wearing just a few hours ...before heat builds up and the inevitable sweat Happens which cant breathe through rubber...no matter how much they charge for a boot, rubber will never be breathable!
I refuse to spend more than £100 on a welly...its just moulded rubber...even thats a rip-off if theyre barely lasting a few months.
Cheap dunlops with an insole for more cushioning works well.

My OH rolls down his neoprene dunlops to calf height, buys bigger size to wear 2 pairs of socks, allowing more breathability and room in the boot. He doesnt get damp feet that way. I dont know how he finds that comfy as i prefer a good snug supportive fit with boots.

Another vote for Grubbs, i have the Rainline ones they are so comfy, v roomy so I have gone half size down and I wear 2 pair of socks with them. I think the outter sock does feel a bit damp when I take them off but my feet are warm and dry in them. I dont work with horses anymore but wore them all winter when I did, and even hacked in them as they are not big and bulky. £50 was more than I'd every spent on a pair of wellies before but would happy pay double considering how well they've worn and how comfy they are!

I love Le Chameau wellies. I have the cotton lined and the neoprene lined as I just buy them if I see them cheap. The neoprene lined are very comfortable and very warm.

The best I have found are the Aigle Parcours Signature boots, they are expensive but Decathlon currently has them at £179.99 which is £100 off RRP. They're leather-lined and I find them really comfy and my feet stay warm and dry.

Hunter are comfy, great whilst they last. Come with a 2 year warranty so can keep replacing when they leak ?
I didn’t know this!
my hunters have just broken (to be fair to them they were worn 7:30-6 6days a week last winter and the winter before And we’re 10 years old!) I wasn’t going to replace them (I already have aigile) due to the reputation of newer styles splitting but now I might!
