Bill has been on boiled oats now for almost 2 months and looks a lot better imo - what do you guys think? All opinions welcome! He is never a good doer, would never be a "fat" horse!!
Should also note he is a lot lot fitter now than he was!

Thanks for reading!
Would any of you rate boiled feeds for feeding? Its very handy to boil oats (would have prefered barley but oats where easier to get) as just boil up and then stick in oven overnight :)

I love boiled barley for anything that needs condition without heating up. I never use my slow cooker for anything else! My feed merchant will order in barley for me specially.

He looks very similar in build to my mare. She also fills out at the front when she eventually puts a bit of weight on but stays the same over her bum. I have not had her through a spring or summer season yet so I will see how she goes with some good grass but if she still does this I have thought she may have EPSM.

He stays the same shape mostly - canters on uphill gallops once a week and bum is same shape as when he was out on his hols! Just more muscle and more defined. I hope your mare does well on grass and dosent have espm :)

I think he is looking great!

I love feeding boiled oats/barley for conditioning (and the smell!). We also used to add crushed maize for weight but it does also provide a bit of 'oomph' which you might not want.
Thanks FF, boiled feeds are great! Could add some maize, but i dont think he needs any extra oomh at the moment! :p
