A few weeks ago I posted pics of my TB looking pretty manky coming out of winter having lived out 24/7.
She is 18 now and does not like to be stabled. Is unclipped and double rugged when required. Has big stone barn bedded down in field if she wants it and one feed per day. Have gradually reduced from hay to grass.
These pics are 6 weeks apart, been back in work for 2 weeks now.

Wanted to post this to show what a difference spring grass makes to an old nag (please excuse the baggy lunge line and side reins that have slipped down) :(

aw, she looks lovely, . our tb is still looking ribby and his coat is horrible, all patchy where it started shedding then stopped and now has started again. Hoping another couple of weeks and he will have started to fill out more.

She looks fantastic! My girls looked cr*p this winter, but good old Dr Green has fixed her right up!

I think your TB looks very well having lived out all winter. Most TB's I know wouldnt cope and although yours doesnt look as good in winter as she does now, she certainly didnt look too bad. You should be very proud! Well done!

She looks lovely, very well! Made me smile looking at your sig and Piccies i also have a bay 18 yr old tb mare and your dog looks suspiciously like a ridgie x, and i have a ridgie he he! Your dog is absolutely gorgeous by the way would love to know his breeding! :-)

Thankyou - her coat is also patchy but getting there - at least the shaggy beard has gone now! I feel bad her being out but just can't keep her in and she seems happy.

Emmaln - he's a bit of a mystery  there is a thread on AAD about it. His mum was a Vizsla and i'm pretty sure dad was a Ridgy although breeders said Pointer (er no! lol). Would love to see pics of yours :)

What a transformation!

I have a 22 year old TB who looks very patchy at the mo, but he always comes into his own in the spring!

He gets very full of himself this time of year and point blank refuses to come into his stable, so there's no chance of molly coddling him!

Great to hear other stories of the older TB's doing us proud.

P.s I had a ridgy too! Best and most handsome dogs ever, can't wait to get another one!

Don't have to be asked twice to post piccies of my ridgie he he!

My OH and i have decided that ridgies are very similar to TB's- Beautiful, loyal, instinctive, slightly neurotic, agile, intelligent oh and not everybodies cup of tea!

He is gorgeous though very interesting colouring, bet he gets lots of second glances when you're out and about, in your pic when he's sat with your choccy lab he looks the spit of my Tuli!

Gorgeous dog! that is just what Pads brother Bentley looks like. There were 9 Fawn and 3 brindles. They are a lovely looking breed, thanks for posting :)

Incredible, would be interested to know whether the breeder will be having anymore from the same parents, just for interests sake of course he he!
