I'm having a bit of a job keeping weight on my laminitic boy, but am loathe to turn him out more on our new spring grass.
Can you feed conditioning products to laminitics?

i would ring a feed help line for advice, spillers do more lamanitic products so they may have more knowledge so i would ring them

What about Speedibeet - I think it's 12 MJ/kg so is decent in energy levels if you need to get condition on but its low in sugar.

Generally it's best to keep away from any cereal based feeds for laminitics.

Speedi beet which is unmolassed can be fed to laminitics as a conditioning feed I believe.

I would advise that you contact the Laminitis Clinic www.laminitisclinic.org as they can give you all the information you will need.

I'd try the winergy equilibrium growth, spillers reccomended it for our underweight cushings pony, its laminitic safe and immune boosting so might be worth a try.

i would add oil to the feed.
i fed my lamantic mare alfa a oil and this was fine for her.
but you could just add a cup of oil to the happy hoof?
fibre cubes will also help.
another thing is check she has enough roughage- adding hay can often be enough to add some weight.

Fibrebeet has really worked for my lami prone mare, it's one of the few feeds approved by the Laminitis Trust.
Bailey's Outshine may also be an option.

I would only use products recommended by the Laminitis Trust/Clinic. If in doubt contact them and/or their website.

Personally for my lami I would only ever up the amount of Happy Hoof and Speedibeet and/or the soaked hay she gets - I would never give her any mix. Maintains her weight well on that combination and has always had enough energy!!
