Confermed strangles surrey

Um yes without the names of yards this is pretty pointless.... there have been a fair few in W.Sussex recently too, made worse by very poor management of it.

In all fairness strangles can be "caught" by the cleanest, most well run yard in the world. Horses that go out, meet other horses (be it competing or just on a hack or as silly as passing a field with horses in) could potentially catch just about anything.
As long as said yard is open about the fact it has strangles, and has a good management plan in place, nobody has anything to fear about.

I **heard** when competing the other day that Crofton have cases as well. But that would need confirming by somebody, don't take my word for it :(

Very true.

Joanne I completely agree but I was at this yard when they had it a couple of years ago, unfortunately my horse was pts because of it. I know that will have clouded my judgement but I know what sort of yard it it. I have never spoken badly about the place even when people felt I could have and wont start now but I do hope they have learnt from last time.
