After having a bad accident I am now currently out of the saddle for 6 months, just beginning to be allowed to handle horses, not sure when I will be given the okay to ride but I thought it might be a good idea to find somewhere I could go for a long weekend for an intensive get back into riding on safe horses? Is there anywhere that does this kind of thing? I anticipate lots of nerves so confidence building too would be the key I think..

I've not heard of any but I think being around horses regularly as possible and handling them little by little, by that I mean-start with something like grooming, feeding etc build up to leading, tacking up, go in the school and do in hand work. That's what I did in the months I was off, I've been back in the saddle a Month now and went for my 1st gallop on the beach Sunday! You'll get there :-)

Thank you Angelz, maybe it could be a good business venture for someone. ;) I think the market would be huge as you hear all the time about people loosing confidence and needing some safe saddle time to get to relax again.

A really good rising school might do? Or Becky Chapman in Essex does 'Ride with your mind' two or three day courses which isn't all about confidence but having had a friend who did it it sounded good.

There was a website I found ages ago and the lady occasionally sends me invites to various confidence building weekends but can't remember the name tho. I will have a look and get back to you.
