Recently I've been bullied at the stables where my loan pony is it has happened before but i've always managed to ignore it as it's just on phones but these girls go to my school aswell and I cant get a break from it. today i told my close friend at the yard and she said i need to jump her to get everything they were saying out of my head but i was really unconfident and didnt really want to push myself like i normally do and i really dont know what to do now. I don't want to move yards as my loan pony has potential and i cant give up my work with her as shes got very far recently and it wont stop them critising my riding saying i dont know how to ride and i cant jump etc. if you have any advice please let me know as i dont want to loose the confidence i've gained in the previous years especially when i started at my new yard. I cant find the picture now but it was of someone who cant ride with their hands pulling the horses mouth and they're leaning back and their is a caption saying " Jumpers being like idk why my horse keeps refusing!"Please help me:(

Really sorry to hear you are having such an awful time. Is there a supportive adult on the yard who you can talk too. These girls sound vile, and i can understand how their nasty comments can knock your confidence. I wouldnt push yourself to do anything you dont want to do, if you dont want to jump dont. Just do what you are happy with and what you are confident with xx

I don't know what to suggest can you change the time you go to the yard to avoid them I know it won't solve your problem but at least you can enjoy your pony. Hugs

The first thing to do is tell your Mum about these girls, the second is to block their numbers on your phone, the third thing is to ask yourself if their opinion will matter to you in five years, or then five months, then five weeks, five days, five hours, five minutes. Then get on with enjoying riding and looking after your loan pony. If the owner is on the yard, or there is a yard manager, ask them for an honest opinion on your riding, and possibly have some lessons to increase your skill and confidence. :) Good luck with it all.

If these bullies know better, ask them to show you how it's done, being a bolshy old bitch, I know from experience, ask them to prove their claims and they clam up and leave you alone, have faith in yourself and don't be afraid to tell these idiots to "Jog On", Hugs for you love
