I posted a few weeks ago about my nerves with my sensitive Highland pony Quin.
I have some good news. I have had some really great help from an instructor and also had hypnotherapy. It’s early days but we are improving. I hacked out today with my instructor on foot and went back to the place where it all fell apart in the summer. I was a bit tense but didn’t once feel like getting off. Actually felt pretty good after controlling the nerves. I am happy to take as long as it it takes. Proper chuffed with him and me today

Oh that’s really good to read. Am def intrigued by the hypnotherapy, do you think that’s made a real/significant difference?

If I’m honest not sure. I’m going to the nearest Karl Greenwood talk next weekend too. The hypnotherapy isn’t complete yet so not fair to say it doesn’t work. I’m hopeful that as part of a few strategies it’s all working together. I have a great pony who I love dearly. Just need to start enjoying him again.

That’s brilliant and a great confidence boost for your horse too in a nice gentle way. It sounds like you have found a very good instructor!

Thank you yes she’s great. I’m trying to pluck up the courage to do something on our own in the morning. The what ifs are still there at the moment.
