Confo critique as feeling quite down.

Methinks-and its not often I do-that the green eyed monster is a livery at your yard?
She is a beautiful young lady. The only thing that I could describe as 'plain' is that she has no facial markings-but I would be using 'plain' in the context as in nothing there.

Thanks everyone.

Pudpud, I hadn't thought of "plain" in the cncept. Perhaps Im being a little sensitive???

She is far from plain, missy is one solid colour and I have heard a few people say she is plain but do I really care what they think ?

I know shes gorgeous

and if she does your job then who the hell cares what colour she is , would agree with the feet but you have already explained that, and also she does have a short neck again nothing wrong with that .

I cant see where she is behind the knee though ??

Shes a lovely girlie and good luck with her .

Why can people like that ?? .... Well because they are rude and ignorant and full of the green eyed monster . Take absolutely no notice of them and show her off all the more

Ignore them- what do their comments matter, theyre not dressage judges

You produce her correctly and the world is your oyster. Presumably you're not expecting to win olympic gold- that would require an exceptional horse. Everything below that is acheivable- she looks nicely balanced and she has no major weaknesses. She's not perfect, you may struggle a bit with the way her neck is conformed, but few horses are!!

Jealousy - pure and simple - why do people have to be like that?

Anyway, I don't actually think she is back at the knee either, it looks to me like the way the 3rd photo has been taken makes her look so (told you you needed to get a new photographer!) yes her neck looks a tiny bit short, but not horrendously so, Sirena has a shortish neck and it has never held her back. She has a little muscle under her neck but again, work will fix that. Feet can be remedied by your farrier. Plain? I think she is actually a handsome looking mare, certainly NOT plain, besides you are aiming her at dressage not 'prettiest pony'. Her movement looks good and I love her shoulder - also the back end, once that has muscled with work she will have a fab engine.

I also think she looks great for a 3YO, so all in all, green eyed monster talking out their ar@e.

Going off to kick the cat this has made me so angry (maybe I am turning into Shils!).

PS: would have inserted all sorts of smileys, but admin still not fixed my problem.

Your horse moves very well, my only comment would be is that she is a little short in the neck, but that shouldnt make any difference, a tiny bit weak behind, but no worries she is only 3 and will build up no end, as for people saying she is back at the knee WTF are they on about

google it she certainly isnt!

I don't think this filly is back at the knee at all!

In fact, apart from her feet and maybe slightly short neck, I can't see much wrong with her! (Slightly weak back end will improve with maturity/muscle).

She not 'pretty-pretty', but I certainly wouldn't call her plain, and she seems to move very well indeed!

Ignore the green-eyed numpties!

Definate touch of jealousy, she's lovely. Slightly short in the neck in the last picture but not in the 3rd picture. In the picture where she's trotting she looks really smart.

She's not plain at all!! THIS is a plain horse... His name is Faisan.

He's got a big head, short neck, huuuuge belly, weak back end... but I'm allowed to say he's not pretty because he belongs to my uncle who is the first to say he's erm... different-looking. Having said that, Faisan a cracking SJer, so it's not all about conformation.

She is a nice looking mare. Slightly short of neck, as has been mentioned, but she is a) nicer looking than most her age and b) better put together than a lot of dressage horses.

I hope you have a lot of fun together

Why are some people so sodding nasty! Ignore them. I like her - she looks like she has a nice attitude, nice movement and looks quite powerful for such a young one. Good luck with her - those muppets will be laughing on the other side of their faces when she does well.

my thoughts from the first piccie were that she is short in the neck, but in pic 3 she isn't! her hind end looks a little weak, THEN i scrolled down and saw she was 3!! there is nothing comformationally that i would worry about, she's andulucian isn't she??? if so she has years of growing ahead and is a cracking, deep bodied mare, i would say this is a case of sour grapes by some very jealous people.
the horse world is so bloody bitchy there is a jealous cow in my area who openly slags off other people's horses at shows, even though hers are nothing special!! she even rang my lad's breeders to tell them he was being neglected!

She is a very nice young mare with VERY good bloodlines! Krack C is a household name as are some of the stallions on her mums side. In the lunge pic she looks attentive and like she's concentratng and listening - temprement and a desire to work for her rider are a lot more important than minor conformation weaknesses. As for being 'plain' she may not have the star quaility you see in some of the 3 year old auction horses, but neither has she been pushed too far or had her head messed with at a young age (and neither did she cost a couple of 100,000 either I presume!)

You look to have made a good choice for a nice, young dressage horse - congratulations

Well said PF and Hollycat!!

She's an absolute stunner and looks fabulous in your lunging piccy!

EDT to say: I bet their horses aren't as nice as yours

Thank you so much everyone. Im feeling a lot better now. It has also helped a lot as, like i said, im useless with confo.

Confused about the ehing the knee comments though as opinions seem to differ.

I dont care if she isnt the prettiest horse on the block or even that she is not that well put together. Like it has already been said, she has, so far, proved that she has the right attitude and is a lovely person to have a round and that counts for much more.

Some people deffy belief!! Talk about jealous T*ssers!! Piaffe hun, she is a delight! As others have said, he neck is a little short, her quarters are weak and her foot balance needs addressing. You are aware of and are sorting her feet, her backend will strengthen as she matures and muscles up, so really the only thing you can't change is her neck - but it's not THAT short!! She will totally different when ridden. There's nothing wrong with a face with no white either - I prefer it tbth!

You no my thoughts Piaffe, I think she's lovely.

We could all find something wrong if we looked long and hard enough.

But really, don't listen to people who clearly have no idea what a well put together horse looks like.

She is lovely, lovely, lovely. And I defy anyone to say they wouldn't want that in their stable!
