Sorry if this isn't quite the right place to put it, but anyway:
Will start with the boring ones...well they are all a bit boring, but CUTE

And we jumped this:

it makes the jump look small, but it was upto my armpit lol

He jumped it so so easily , he felt like he jumped it with an extra foot, which i think he probably did, and then gave a little playful buck after it- bless him he was so unbothered by it, he just went in like "oh yeah, im goood" haven't jumped him in ages and forgot how easy he finds it to just jump 3.9ft!

so yeah, comments on conformation and condition would be great i know he has a scrawny neck its always like that no matter how much schooling i do

I think he's gorgeous - I'm totally rubbish at conformation though I'm afraid. He looks quite thin to me, but I'm used to seeing my big fat cob so that's probably just me not being familiar with the sight of a fit horse.

I love the exercise sheet, it looks very posh!

I'd like to see more meat on him, personally. But I do like my horses well covered. What do you do with him?

Not the best conformation, but what does that matter? To you, I'm sure, he's perfect.

Right, i am really bad at CCing condition so feel free to ignore me, i could well be entirely wrong
grin.gif

I would say he could do with having some more weight on? Although he doesn't look ribby he does look a little boney if that makes sense (can you tell i don't do this often?

As for his topline, have you tried using a Pessoa?
Gorgeous boy though, he has a really friendly face

Lovely looking chap.... have you been bathing him in daz.... he's sparkling white especially given this time of year! He has a very genuine face and kind eyes. I'm no expert on conformation, but these photos don't help as he is twisting round being nosey and not standing the best to truely judge his confo xx

its not my exercise rug
blush.gif
i borrow it to look cool! haha no, i just borrow it to keep him warm while warming up
smile.gif

he is an eventer/showjumper/hunter.. so does a bit of everything upto open level (PC)...will try some fattening up!
blush.gif
he is just the type of horse who eats literally nothing- has all the hay he wants and 2 good feeds a day, but still has ridiculous amounts of energy.
haven't tried a pessoa, hes not very good at the lungeing, he always stops, but ccan't use a whip as he is terrified of them so normally ends up with my trying to keep him in a circle, while making him move! will try again though

haha, he keeps himself very clean, well i try not to let him roll too much, especially as i was meant to be going hunting today

but didn't...
thank you

i just realised how bad the photos are, the first one i think his bum is nearer to me than his shoulders are
confused.gif

its really funny, with his tail up like that he looks so different to when its down! :O

QR I personally would like to see more weight on him.. dont know if its just the angle but he looks very "hippy" in some pictures. Hes lacking quite a bit of muscle too.
Other than that hes a cutie.

will try and get some better pics, he looks a bit wonky in those :s will take some tommorow...
he is always a bit on the lighter side, but i will see to getting him a bit chunkier.
Muscle wise, that is how he is really, no matter how much schooling i do- normally 4-5 times a week, 45 minutes good work he still has very little topline..
frown.gif
in the summer his neck fills out again when hes out 24/7 but for the winter he always looses condition in his neck
frown.gif

Conformation wise, he's not the best - cow hocked, very upright shoulder, straight back legs (hope that isn't too harsh - you should see my pony!). Condition wise, he looks poor to me. Lacking in muscle, lack lustre, starey coat etc. From what you say however, he sounds like he's doing ok with regard to energy etc and anyways, which of us own show ponies (apart from those of us who own show ponies
smile.gif
)

Conformation wise - yes, a little upright in the shoulder and straight legged. But he is obvioustly still working well! My event pony was upright too and at 17 was still doing PN courses so it depends on the individual!!

As for weight wise - I disagree that he needs to gain weight - SO many horses are overweight and it is damaging to their long term health. Yours looks about spot on personally - especially for eventing and hunting. I would however work on building muscle - the pessoa would be good as would regular schooling and a bit of gymnastic jumping.

Just my opinion! He looks a cutie though - such a kind head. Fun looking horse!

Main thig that sticks out is how down hill he is in the firt photo - it might be the ground he's on but he looks so on the forehand. It makes the rest of him look out of proportion. he's also post legged which doesn't help the illusion.

His wieght looks like. He looks like he's carry enough fat and he's just fit. However his top line is poor - looks like he spends a lot of time with his head in the air? He's look 'better' with a little more weight on but he doesn't actually need it, and if he's doing a lot of hard work, it'll only do him harm.

He's not got the best conformation but as long as he does the job you brought him for and stays sound who cares
laugh.gif

Personally I'd like to see a bit more wieght on him and more topline. He has a really genuine look about him.
smile.gif

i think 10 years of going round with his head in the air has meant that no matter how much i school him, it is VERY difficult to get topline, i will def. try the pessoa, or try and find a friend with one!
He is actually very well schooled (:o) and has a good outline, it just does not convert into him having a good topline
frown.gif

i was quite schocked by the weight thing tbh... to me he looks alright, fit, on the slimmer side but we keep ours quite trim as he is in a fair amount of work we prefer them to be like that.
thanks for the comments about him looking genuine
smile.gif

hes great, does everything i want... conformation doesn't seem to affect him in anyway, but its just interesting to know.

As an owner of a couple of fatties - I disagree that he looks thin, he looks fit and healthy to me!! He lacks a topline as such, but if he does what you want him to do - who cares!! Enjoy him, he looks fun!!
