Conformation / Condition critique PLEASE

Phoenix will be 3 years old in about 3 weeks time. I've had him since weaning. He is just 16hh. 3/4 tb x 1/4 shire.

This was taken on Saturday, mid bath

Hes a stunning chap

, would he be slightly upright at his shoulder ? ,

The ground is slightly uneven where he is stood. I think that's why he may look a little upright here. There are few places at our places to find a dead level surface.

hmm yeah possibly , hes a lovely chap all the same, whats your plans with him ? has he lost his 2 friends ?

lol. Yeah he lost his two friends quite early.

No definite plans. Will back him next spring before his 4th birthday. Will see where his strenghts lie and go with it. He's for life, so no rush or need to develop quickly.

He has gorgeous legs - just the type I like to see, sturdy, straight and even.

I like him. His neck may be a little short but he looks quite compact to me anyway.

Thanks FWF. I've always thought his neck was on the short side. He is compact isn't he. Admittedly he isn't as big generally as I thought he would be. I wonder if he'll have a late growth spurt.

OOf yeh you could end up with a 18 hander! lol imagine that - you'd have to get a trampoline to get up!

He has a really kind eye, and a lovely face.

Lovely boy! Just a tad short in the neck and a little upright through his shoulder, but very nice all the same.

Lovely sort. Not the best neck set in the world. But you can forgive him that.
