Think a Pessoa would be an exellent way of helping your horse develope his top line more.
With my horses i use it once or twice a week for about 20 to 30 mins each time. I would set it up so that it goes not between th front legs but so that it goes to either side of the horse at about mid flank level. this way you really get the hind legs to engage without breaking the neck , lifting up through the shoulder and whither area.
But do get help from some one who knows how to use the pessoa and to help you fit it for yor horse. I do this with my clients and they find that helpful.
Best of luck x

Sounds similar to my horse. He had a weak neck and a sore back and was referred to Willesley and they recommended lunging in a pessoa and it has made a huge difference. We did nearly every day for 3 months to fix the problem which might be a bit over the top for you! Now he's better I'm planning to use it a couple of times a week.
