sorry, not 'ideal' pics but would appreciate overall thoughts on this mare's type and build as a potential low level eventer and how you think she compares to your average tb build. thank you

Not great pics to tell conformation from! The thing that jumps out at me on first glance is shes very straight through the hock. She also looks a tad over at the knee. Would say she looks a very nice type as a allrounder/rc horse but possibly not as an eventer, as shes not conformationally great. Shes a similar build to my tb.

she looks nice enough - lovely sloping shoulder - how is her trot?

not sure if its just the way she is standing but the off fore looks a bit turned out in the top pic and a bit turned in on the bottom pic.

She seems to have a nice forward attitude over the fence.

Only other thing to say is the neck looks a bit low set but nothing too hideous that good schooling wouldn't help with.

If by low level you mean BE90/100 then you don't have to have anything really special.
She is lovely though, looks a nice type. Every horse has their little things that aren't perfection so I wouldn't be put of by anything anyone says.

i quite like her conformation.

she is a little straight through the hindleg but can't really judge it from that camera angle.

however, i'm not a great fan of her shape over a fence and would probably discount her as an eventer based on (assuming that is her regular shape).

Event horses, even at a high level, come in all sorts of makes and shapes. The conformation faults that she has are not major so if she performs well there is no reason why she shouldn't compete at the lower levels. A lot of horses don't make much of a shape over a small fence so that wouldn't worry me. She has got her knees up which is the important thing and ambition to leave the fences up is more critical than perfect style.

yes, knees up are the main thing for xc but i was more thinking of the dangly forelimb for sj- particularly at the lower levels it is extremely hard to get into the top 10 without a D/C.

i have known a few eventers with that style of jumping but they are few and far between and, personally i would keep looking.

thank you -

she is 6 and very very green - OTTB, she's never even seen a grid yet.. will her style not develop and is the dangling front legs not more of baby/greeness thing?

here's another jumping pic-

Her feet don't look like a matching pair and the right looks a bit dumped - hard to tell from the picture.

But she looks like she will be lovely with a bit more flesh on behind. Nice enough chest. Does she really need a flash and a martingale though?

thanks..... in answer to your question, ive no idea

Would agree with Millitiger, looks a lovely type, but a bit concerned with her jumping technique. It may improve with grids etc, but only if she is anxious enough to keep them up...

Very straight through the hind leg and obviously lacking any topline. The topline can be improved the hing leg can't. Not thrilled with the dangling front legs over the jump either but she does look kind and genuine.
