He has not really been worked for a couple of months as he keeps pulling his shoes off and I know he is a little ribby coming out of winter but any comments?

Looks a cutie! Does he have odd front feet? One looks to be lower at the heels than the other - and yes, he'll look better for some spring grass of course. Maybe he needs extra rugs in winter and more porridge! How does he ride? I imagine he would have nice paces as he is short coupled, reasonable shoulder, straight legs and an overall look of balance. What do you do with him.

yes he is mine, he has one hoof built up with glue as he keeps pulling them off. The vet and farrier are working together to get him sound again. He is a very picky eater and doesn't really seem to like to eat much so he is a nightmare to keep weight on. He hates being hot and sweats a lot with even medium rugs. We are trying to do some local shows this year, in hand showing and jumping but he gets so excited and puts in a couple of bucks and then I fall off!!

He has lovely smooth paces, his trot has no bouncing it is lovely. My friend said his extended trot is "a treat for your eyes"

Nice looking horse! Not sure about the upright shoulder comment, think he has quite a nice shoulder!! Lovely short back, slightly back at the knee and upright behind, but generally a very nice picture
