I'm no good at this but I am well aware my mare has quite a few conformational faults! Feel free to name all the faults :p

Goodness it just shows how difficult it is to post a pic that tells the whole story, a slighty wrong angle and a horse with basically good confo looks wrong! I am also absolutely "no expert"! TPO, your horse is lovely, he has a nice head and a kind eye but if I am picky, he looks a bit upright n the pastern, straight in the hock and has a "jumpers bum" which some people love. I had a QHxTb with a huge shoulder and yours looks the same. he was a lovely horse but a bugger to fit with a saddle.
BMWKIPP, your mare looks rather long backed and croup high but I like her legs and the angle of her pasterns, she looks a really Kind View attachment 33895useful type.
EKW I love Tbs, he's my sort of horse and I think you've been fair to him, I also thinkthe pic probaby doesn't do him justice as you cant really see his head which I think would change the pic somewhat.
This is Rose, taken a couple of months ago, she is changing all the time and it's made me realise that although the basic structure doesn't change, the look of them does and it takes someone with a lot of experience to really appreciate the basic structure (which I don't have).

Gorgeous looking horse, very shiny!

Not brilliant pics but the best I've got sorry. Hopeing pointing out their faults will help me with the horse shopping!

Monty now - he lost a lot of topline when he had 8 months off 3 years ago and although some of it has come back I don't think he'll ever get to where he was - he is 23 after all!

There are so many reasons to not let the feet become long, flat and under-run. It 100% does affect conformation and soundness.

There are other horses on this thread who have long toes - I dont really see why you have felt the need to just pick on my picture.

Why would you post on a thread asking for CC and then become offended when you get some? Unless you don't believe that the foot is part of the overall confo of the horse...

Have at it! I know nothing about conformation and I’m probably never going to show him so let me know your thoughts. Sorry for the rubbish photo! Every time I get my phone out he thinks it’s food... so this was the best one

I love threads like this - get to see so many gorgeous horses, and added bonus of learning new things.

I've not got the first clue about conformation, so it's been interesting reading!! Here's my "Irish Sport Horse" gelding. Bit of a rubbish picture, but he's not a poser... unfortunately! I'd welcome any opinions on his conformation, however negative. Whatever his faults may be, he's perfect for me :)

WE all know that gangling sack of bones and blood is an absolutely gorgeous hunk of horseflesh now, AA!

I have stolen this off Chilham Connemara's facebook page But here is my girl:

Fire away. In her old age she is still slightly thick through the gullet. And those very straight hocks have caused no end of problems. But she is the dam of the Connemara Breed Society Champion 2011.

Darn it, rumbled !

This grey pony, despite her straight hocks, is the nicest type on the thread so far.

I've tried and failed to take a picture of mine this evening - extra strong mints in my pocket made it impossible to stand him up. But here is my old horse, too fat due to a new baby at the time it was taken, but otherwise, I couldn't fault him.

I'm awful at conformation but wow he looks stunning

One possible thing I can see is has he got windgalls or a splint? Off fore? I really like him though!

Aww, bless you. Thank you. She is one of the last of Village Boy's progeny. Sadly she is now, because of the hocks and melanomas everywhere, little more than a happy hacker but we all love her and she has taught both my children to ride, and been blasting around the North Yorks countryside with my mother who has two bionic hips and is a bit gammy down one side due to a stroke.

This girl is a baby, no? With some muscling up to help her have a top line and square her bottom up, she will be very nice. She might even come up a little less over at the knee.
Thank you - she is younger, but not a baby baby - depending on your point of view! She's been brought on very slowly as she was so weak, she is now turning 7 but has only really finished putting her 'framework' in place over the last winter (ID x). I need to try to focus on building the back end and hopefully she will be more able to work over her back correctly (suggestions welcome!). I nearly didn't buy her as was worried about a funny action she had with a front leg (it kind of plaited from the shoulder) but she was really narrow in front, and as she's grown and had a good shoeing regime, that seems to have all but disappeared.

I wouldn't expect her to win anything showing (with regard to your other post). Sweet mare though.
She's one a few working hunters and if you can run fast enough (I can't anymore) she has a really flash trot. She's also won family pony with me My 11yo niece and 6yo nephew last year. Probably my proudest moment seeing them trotting round with her and being pulled in first 🧡💜
