she has quite a deep girth doesnt she, and compared to her body she has quite a short back. Nice clean, strong legs, a little high in the wither but i dont know her age, breed. it could be the picture but she looks a little short in the neck to, and has a very nice head and a kind eye. i hope i havnt been to harsh i picked equal amounts of good and bad CC lol

I would say she had a nice deep girth and good shoulder but her necks looks a bit short and her back end under developed compared to her front end. Maybe her near fore turns slightly in but could be the photo. Nice type of horse though with a nice head and kind eye.

However, I'm hopeless on conformation and just been reading a book trying to scrub up. I'm therefore practising on your horse, sorry !

She has got a fantastic shoulder and barrel.Slightly weaker on the back end but as you say she has been out of serious work for a while.Good jumping bump an her.If i was to be very picky it may be the photo but she does look to be slightly roach backed.Overall i like her.

lovely head and neck, well set, good front and length of rein. good sloping shoulder. reasonably well developed forearm. Can't see the amount of bone with her bandages on, but cannon bones look nice and short. hoof/pastern axis looks equal and the angle looks similar to the shoulder. Good depth of girth with well sprung ribs. Quite pronounced withers. Hindquarter muscles currently underdeveloped but she has very good jumping angles in her hindquarters - bit of a jumping bump and very well let down. Again, short cannon bones and good hoof/pastern axis

Really smart young horse - lots to like! Needs more topline and possibly to finish growing - lots of filling out to do - would be quite hard to fit a saddle to as yet, until she develops the muscles either side of her withers.

Any time you want to sell her, let me know!! :P

spacefaer - you see what i see

a mare who will be a fantastic jumper in time! defiantly agree she needs more topline and her bum is under developed. were currently toning everything up at the moment and getting fit! thanks for lovely comments

I think she's really nice.

Her head is nice, and not coarse at all, fits in with her build well. Her eye isn't the most generous, but it may be the photo. Her cheek is lovely and round which generally suggests she learns quickly.

Her neck is lovely, well set on but maybe a little poor - (especially the dip in front of the wither) as she's only 5 and has been out of work I wouldn't worry about it - she'll grow into it a bit yet.

Her shoulder and pastern/hoof angle are virtually the same, which is really good. Her cannons are half the length of her radius which is meant to be good for jumping. as she has bandages on I can't tell if her knee is tied in, or if she's over at the knee, but I don't suspect it is.

Her heels are slightly low IMO, but that's a farriery issue not a conformation issue.

She has a really good deep chest, good for motoring across country, or hunting. She's a fraction high at the wither to my taste, but again, she may fill out as you get her fit. She's also slightly withers high - but as ISH at 5 she's likely to grow a fraction more yet.

She looks to me like she's tight in her hip to stifle, but that could be lack of muscling. Her gaskin is a little weak looking, but again that could be age or fitness. Her tail is set on low-ish which suggests good jumping ability traditionally.

Overall I think she's a really nice sort - I'd be keen to get her going for a bit of eventing if she were mine. Would be really interested to see a pic again once she's really fit and muscled up!

I think she's lovely

good shoulder, nice head, good limbs.

My only crit would be that she's very slightly short in the neck for a horse of her size.

Something to be aware of..... the dip on her neck in front of her wither is usually caused by a saddle that is too tight and stopping her from working correctly. You can also see on the pic that she has hollows behind her wither, and a slight saddle shaped mark. I'd look at getting her a wider fitting saddle and using a prolite or similar, so she can build up underneath it....... she'll look stunning with a bit more topline
