Another one sorry - we know you love them....
This little chap is a baby and bum high - what do you think about him - he looks really ponyish! I think he will even out but think he has to full out and mature to look proportioned. He looks a bit short in the front but you may disagree!!!!

Thanks for any comments

I agree that he's a bit short up front and looks rather downhill because of it, but I think a year's worth of growing and a better saddle would make him look much better. With a good bath, some clippers on those legs and a lengthy mane-pulling session I think he'd be a rather nice sort really. Not too keen on the price seeing as he hasn't really done a lot, and I'd like to see him jumping first. Knock £500 off the price, give him a year and he'd be a lovely allrounder for someone.

I don't think the saddle they have on him is doing him any favours

Not that up on conformation but as you say, he does look a little bu high.

It could just be me but he doesn't look like he has got much at the front. Seems to all of a sudden come to a stop sort of?

From that bottom pic he also looks over at the knee & to be very short necked. That could be down to a very bad photo though.

As I say, I'm not that up on confo so I could be very wrong & talking out of my bum!

hard to do a conf crit with saddle and rider on board. Agree that he is croup high and downhill, but saddle seems to be up round his neck which probably isn't helping? He has quite an upright shoulder and I am not too keen on his hind leg but overall will make a nice horse.

Cracking 'pony' type horse. Way over priced, and most definately not working well in the school.

£1.5 max I'd say. But I like him.

I'm sure Ive seen this ad before. Not sure what that means, but it does mean he's been for sale for a while. Also sceptical about his hind leg action (but this may just be because I'm obsessing about gait abnormalities in my own horses currently!)

But he is an attractive boy generally and if the saddle wasn't perched up his withers, I think his shoulder wouldn't seem so short.

just watched the vid that saddle so doesn't fit :S an he looks puny in the vid too

but still very cute an i want him lol!!

looks like a nice horse. Really isn't schooled too good though- he's above / behind the bit in trot and he runs into canter. Trainable enough though.

Have you been to see him, as it says in the ad - the photos don't do him justice. He would look much better with a fitting saddle and a better rider - this guy is holding him tight and then throwing his hands about in trot making the horse look quite short in front, IMO

. I think it's well worth a look, he's very handsome.

All,
Thanks for thoughts, I beleive he will be a different horse in 2 years. Still something really appealling about him. Will go to see him hopefully over next couple of days.
He is a baby - just 4 so can excuse him running etc.
Agree he needs to be allowed to work forward and take the contact out and stretch, but as said just a baby......

Getting paranoid about his hind leg now - after was mentioned earlier - ther more I look the more I think its strange 1 But then that is always my problem if I look too much I imagine abnomalities......... eeak.....

Will let you all know how it goes, still think he is worth a look...

Thanks
