Confused about insurance?

I am trying to find insurance for my new horse and I dont know if I need public liability and personal accident insurance? I am a member of BRC and BS- am I covered for this through my membership, or am I only covered if an accident occurs at a BRC/ BS event?. I dont want to pay for something twice if I dont have to.

We've just bought insurance for our new pony. We didn't get public liability as my daughter is in the pony club and u automatically get it included (not just for pc activities). We've also just joined BSJA and They cover u as well.

U need to make sure u get the cover u want as there are a lt of different variations that my insurer didn't go tho until I asked. Eg loss of pony/horse, loss of use, vets fees.

U also need to ask if they need your pony/horse to be vetted.

Lovely thanks- I think I just need to gove them a call then, but sounds like I might be able to save a few pennies by not needing public liability then- hurrah
