Confused about my current situation advice needed?(long one!)

Hey, I am posting this here as I need some impartial advice.
Basically I'm in kind of a tricky situation yard and work wise and I don't know how to work it out.
I currently work for my yard owner, I look after her two horses at her house. I go every day twice a day and never have a day off even if I am ill (last week I went with a temp of 102!). She never does the horses herself and they might aswell belong to me. In return I get my horses grass livery free (£54 p/m). I am very greatful for this, however it is getting to the point now where I have far too much to do. I have another part time job and university. My own horse has just turned 4 and needs alot of my time putting into him. My yard owner can be a very nice lady but she can also not be. I am treated like a slave(sounds harsh), and she never apprieciates all that I do for her. If I went on holiday for instance and she had to do her horses for herself she would realise how much work I do on a daily basis! I just feel like I am treated like a doormat and am very fed up to be honest. I'm not sure what to do but have worked out I have 4 options:
1) Carry on like I am doing and struggle through another year.

2) Quit working for her....(have tried to reduce my hours before and she went mad saying that she would never find anyone else) This would mean paying livery which I am happy to do but I don't like my yard much for several reasons and think if I did quit and start paying I would move my boy onto stabled livery as the grazing is better(mad I know).

3) Quit working for her and move to a new yard which is further away but is cheaper and better grass livery.

4)Sell my Boy and keep working in a job I hate because I can't quit.

Sorry for this it's very long. I'm just really fed up and would really apprieciate some advce about what to do. Sorry if I have left details out please feel free to ask. Thanks x
 
Either 2 or 3.The reason that she will never find anybody else to work for her is because nobody else will be her slave for £54 a month.I would either stop "working" for her and pay livery or move job and horse elsewhere.No disrespect to you but why you are doing the work and not say anything she will not change.That is not ANY where near minimum wage.

Source yourself a decent part time job, move the horse to a better yard and leave the job at the current yard you are on! Don't let her sell you the sob storey basically no she won't get anyone else in to do what you do as she is using you as a doormat and playing on your good nature.

So chin up chuck get searching for a job that you'll enjoy with less hours which will probably pay better wages and give you time to do your Uni work and enjoy your horse. Good luck
 
Thank you for that I really need a kick up the a**! I know it is way below what i should be being paid and infact I'm being paid less now I'm having my livery free that I was cash in hand. I just love the horses and don't want to see them neglected?
Edited to add. I also don't know how to quit because I have been at her yard since I was 9years old!I'm far too soft for my own good!

She is treating you terribly and as you have let it go on( not meant in a nasty way- you have obv been grateful for the free livery)
However the " free grass livery" you get isnt free at all.Move you horse and say thank you for the grazing and job, but that your moving!!!
 
OK since you have been there since you were 9. Then just tell her that you are moving as your uni work is getting more important and you need to free up more hours to continue your studying. She can't get shitty with you on that one, and that you are moving your horse as you have plenty of people on XXX yard who will be able to help when you are not able to get down there. In all cases you shouldn't have to explain to her the where's and why's.
 
OMG that is slave labour!! For example I am looking after my friends pony for 8 mornings this week, I have to drive there but it's on my way to work, fed said pony and take her rug off. Takes me all of 10 mins and she's paying me £50 to do this, as a favour!

Of course she won't find anyone else - go and take your services elsewhere, we used to look after our old YO 11hh pony in the evenings, get him in feed him and put him to bed with hay and we got one of our horses DIY livery free (which was £16 a week)

Thanks everyone for the advice. I am off to siad job now. I will read replies when I get back so don't think I'm being rude. Thought before I go I would list a lit of jobs I do on a daily basis:
Poo pick 2x paddocks (in winter muck out 2 stables&poo pick)
Feed
Hay
Water
Feet.
Added to this I have to tidy up her yard, barn&muckheap.
Groom, Bath, trim etc
The list is endless I have even had to scrape birdsmuck off her meat freezer in her barn.
I'm a mug!
