Just as the title says really,
I had my pony worm counted in December and it came back very low. In the last week he seemed more anxious and started tail rubbing so I dosed him with equest orally last night. Within 10mins he was rubbing again so I had a look and there was like a burst worm like thing coming out of his butt
ugh, anyway I left him for the wormer to do its stuff...
This morning I've had a look through some of last nights poop and there are lots of tiny worms about 8mm long, some are dead but some are still able to move a little! There is a little white gunk around his tail.
Soo...
Has the wormer even worked if some of the worms are still alive?
Could it be pinworm given the disgusting dead worm emergence last night?
If it is pinworm do I need to be wormed too?! What about my OH?
Is it true that he should also be bathed and have his sheath cleaned in order to get rid of them?? (it's winter, not really bath time!)
Should I just get the vet and stop bothering you nice folk on this forum, lol?
Thank you for reading
