LOL I havnt been out for 2 seasons (not on a horse anyway) since I retired my mare.

Speaking from experince, horses can surprise you which one will hunt. I have one total super star and one nutter who I now don't hunt............. too bonkers but i used hunting to make sure he was brave for eventing after first hedge, yep fine time to go home.
But hunting teaches more than jumping and IMHO it should part of an eventers training plus makes winter more enjoyable
