No, not much. I've backed several connies and am still in touch with their new owners None have grown much after 4 years.

In my experience, growth after 4 is minimal in a pony who has had an abundance of nutrition all its life - so has grown to its potential. My feral ponies can surprise me even as late as 6yo, but those born into grassy fields and buckets of food rarely grow more than an inch or so after 4yo.

Well I have produced several connies. 2 didn't really grow at all after 4 but did fill out considerably. The other grew 2 inches, but he was cut late (at 4) so i think that probably ha something to do with it. all had appropriate nutrition in their formative years.

Thanks everyone. So it seems unlikely she’ll grow more, but not beyond the bounds of possibility! Thanks again

Hi, I’m just wondering what the general opinion would be, do you think a 4yo 14.2 atm Connie will grow any more? Thanks
One of my connies didn’t stop growing until 8. Admittedly it was more filling out in the ages of 7 to 8, but still went up a bit. He’s 16hh now!
My other one hasn’t grown much from 3 onwards, although he still has masses of filling out to do. He’s 15.1hh

Does your tall one have Mount Carmel Aisling in his ancestry? My roan does, and I suspect that line is where the height came from.

I deal in Connemaras and I sell mainly 3 and 4 yr olds and I find a large number grow a huge amount even as 4 yr olds and onwards. My own personal Connemara grew nearly 3 inches from a 4 yr old.
