Was trawling the connies section of HH for sale and came across this chap described as: smart with good conformation

Am I missing something, he looks wrong upfront, what do you think confo critique, would you buy him? Would you pay 3kfor him? Its just I am not a boffin when it comes to any horse but quite clueless as to what constitutes a good example of a connie.

I don't think you can even start to fairly critique a pony stood fetlock deep in grass! He would need to be on a solid hard surface and stood up correctly.

Having said that, what you can see of him, I would say he is a typical Connemara. Looks to have a nice outlook.

Would I buy him? No, I only buy mares :p

Would I pay 3K? He's worth whatever a buyer is prepared to pay for him!

no idea! I was personally looking at the front end of the horse and thought bloody hell that looks deep and I dont like his neck, because he looks so deep in the chest his neck seems to taper off to nothingness. But you are right, no mention of age. Just doesn't seem like he's worth the money, there were some lovely connies being advertised but he just looks a little wierd to me.

He looks like he's carrying quite a lot of condition - it may or may not be hiding something. He looks very nice with good shoulders etc and is obviously young by the description but I wouldn't pay that kind of money but that's just my opinion - it really depends on what you are looking to do with the pony - if you're into showing then it's not out of the question if he's up to it. I think you need to contact the owners to get more details and to what they've done so far.

oh no guys, won't be buying was just window shopping.

Persephone: point well made ;)

There were a few far nicer that I would want were I in the market for one ;)
