Consequences of excessive pigs ear consumption?

Much to my horror I got home from work tonight to find that a certain white splotchy greyhound had managed to get a bag of pigs ear strips out of the cupboard and had eaten the lot! I am not sure whether she shared them with Islay, there is not a mark on either of them so they either agreed not to share or shared them equally!

Other than Flick drinking a lot, and having an upset stomach, are there any other consequences I need to know about?

I am not giving either of them tea tonight (they normally get fed twice daily) as I am not sure who ate what

Otto had a poopy tum for a week, had to go on anitbiotics and prokaolin for 5 days, most expenisve pig ear ever

He enjoyed the week of 4 meals of rice and chicken afterwards too, I don't cook for myself, don't except to cook for the flipping dog

Ki did exactly the same when he was younger

Other than having that "I'm stuffed" face for a while, he was ok.

I would agree with not feeding them tonight and just be prepared for mega pooping

If you have any Pro-Kolin or Pro-Soluble at home, give them tonight. I've read you can give it in prevention occasionally, f. ex. when you know you're going to do something stressful the day after, so surely a bag of pigs ear strips could be counted as something that will likely upset her/theirs stomachs.

Oh, and maybe get something that smells good that you can sniff at if they start farting...

With sympathies, but I'm sure she/they had fun while it lasted.

Yep they will want to go frequently & be very squitty! Least you will know who hate the most!!

I do feel a bit bad because I am pretty certain that Flick ate the lot and Islay didnt get a look in... hence Islay cannot understand why she isnt being fed
grin.gif
But I cannot be certain... I wonder if I can install 24-hour CCTV in my kitchen?

Well obviously they have passed their squits on to Otto, as he has just been out for a walk and gone about 10 times

OH informs me that he "may" have eaten all the chicken he left out last night, this morning, and that he "may" have had to prise a partly crunched Chicken drumstick out of his mouth

Bloody dog, and bloody OH!
mad.gif

Oh dear - why can OHs never be trusted to look after dogs properly
crazy.gif
Mine always used to be rubbish...

No consequences for my two yet.... I am waiting....

Actually my dad excelled himself on Sunday with Flick - I am SURE that I told him that she was a starvation case before being rescued etc. So he decided to say to my 5 1/2 yr old niece that she could feed my two some ham each, expecting them to behave like cavaliers. Niece nearly got bitten by Flick, who snatched the ham and bolted it down (of course

)

Luckily niece was shocked but not hurt, poor little soul, but I couldnt blame Flick at all

Well actually I was quite pleased, as OH has never been able to get anything out of Otto's mouth before (he is a right pansy and says Otto is biting him

) So the fact he realised he had a bone, that this wasn't good, and managed to get the bone out, is fairly impressive!

However the fact that he left the chicken out in the first place, and then was stupid enough to leave the Otto Hound alone with the chicken, is not so impressive

It wasn't really bad squits, so I hope he will be back to normal tomorrow
