Considered selling?

Everything was becoming just too much hassle and I had completely lost all interest in doing anything with Monty

I was seriously considering selling him and giving up horses

For the past couple of months I have dreaded going to the yard, it has been one hassle after another there

Finally arranged to move yards and we get a virus on our yard so we are stuck for another few weeks

For the past week or so things have been improving and the past couple of nights it has been lovely on the yard Everyone has been really chatty and making an effort to get on. So tonight I took Monty out for a nice hack on the heathland for some fun and remembered why I have a horse and how nice it is to have some fun on him for a change

Sorry bit pointless post but hey

Anyone else got to this point and thought 'what the hell, this is too much hassle'?

If so, what changed your mind?

I got to the point and went passed it. I was at a stage where a mix of general family troubles and horse related really put me in a black mood. Completely not the horses fault, so I made the choice and did what I thought was best. The best decision I made. It gave me the chance to 'breath' and step away from the frying pan and put everything into prospective.

Started afresh a while later, in much better mind, and haven't looked back.

I'm sure once you move yards it will be better. We all have peaks and troughs but that's part of horses. You've done so brilliantly with Monty and you will continue to do so

I know exactly where you are coming from....stress at yards can make all the difference....chin up though...Monty is lovely and once moved yards im sure all with be much better...dont let people ruin your enjoyment...wish you lived closer to me I could do with a riding partner...:0)
