Sorry guys in a bit of a panic here.
Had a phone call today from the above asking about my loan application and unsecured debts. The phone no was 08703302522 . When I said I have not applied for a loan they said someone else must have done so which scared the wotsits out of me.

I phoned my bank thats ok and phoned my credit card co too.
The company that phoned gave me an address to write to and sounded plausible but now I have googled the phone no and it looks dodgy.
So they have no info from me but I had 45 minutes of sheer and unadulterated panic thinking someone had stolen my identity and a really good cry.

Anyone else had this experience ??

Found this online:

quote 08703302522
The 08703302522 number is something to do with yes loans, if you are getting calls from this you have likely applied for a loan through them. What evr you do do not pay money to yes loans up front, they tell you have a loan and you have to pay a £50 admin fee for the loan to be processed. This is not true and the vast amount of people who pay never get a loan, just google their name and read some reviews! This company needs to be on watchdog!! OOh and they always hang up when you answer, the idea is to get you to phone back and cost you money, sowatch out!! end quote

I have to say artyannie I have had problems with Yes loans before too. I did a loan comparison form (similar to car insurance comparison website) online once and they just called and called. I didnt even want a loan, but I didn't realise also that they would pass my phone number and details to every tom dick n harry as well! I would ignore them. hope that helps

You have possibly applied for some loan/credit card or been on some site so they have got your details. Basically if someone rings YOU about anything to do with your finance details you tell them NOTHING! Just hang up the phone and certainly do not ring them back.

Do as you did, notify your bank so they can be on the ball and keep a check on any strange activity on your account.

I have had my card(s) used without my knowledge twice so far. One was my credit card which I NEVER really use, certainly not for general shopping so god knows where they got my details from. Thankfully the bank rang me as they had noticed 'suspicious activity' (someone was having a shopping spree using my card details online with Argos!). I can only assume they got my details off line when i once bought something over a year before - but who knows!

Thankfully I was not charged for anything but I would just say be aware and do not respond to these calls. If I ever pick up a call and there is a any slight delay before someone says anything i just put the phone down.
