Contact John Whittaker?

Are any of the Whitaker family going to be at autograph sessions at Olympia?

Because someone could pass a message along to one of them then?

Update, a kind H+H'er has emailed JW direct, so it's in the lap of the gods now. Wouldn't condemn him if he doesn't do anything, but worth a try I think.

Makes you wonder, if top riders don't/can't keep their horses for life. How many people do. I would hate to see my horses being passed around at the age of 20 not knowing where they were going or who they were going to.

Sugarmia - I may be wrong here but a lot of top riders don't own a lot of their horses? They ride them for owners.
I would imagine that it would be easier for some of us regular owners. I own two ponies and if they ended up companion only/old, then I can afford to keep them as they have nothing to do with earning me money. My ponies are not a business and therefore, the money I put into them is what is made from my "day-job", whereas the top riders, rely on their horses to earn them winnings and yes, in an ideal world, they would have dozens of horses in their fields retired. Is it down to the rider, who has also worked hard to produce that horse to the top, or should it also come down to the responsibility of the owner?

Anyway, I will stop rambling and really hope this guy finds a good home :) Well done Tiny Pony for contacting JW to see if he can even recommend a home for this fellow.
