So...

Contacted the RSPCA today for them to do absolutely nothing.

Gypsy horses up the road from me, old rickerscote lane, stafford st17 4hg (If anyone cares for reference)..

They have been there 2 weeks, no food or water has ever been provided - I think they rely on the rain for water and rotten 2 year old hay bails for food.

they are all baby horses, some routed to the ground with snow, no food, no water, no shelter, no jackets/coats, freezing condtions, foreign short haired horses blatently freezing, some lay down on their front knees but stood on their back knees.

Some unable to stand, look collapsed or for all I know even dead (Cant get closer than about 30 - 40 mtrs. there was 8 horses in this small field, Now I only see 5 since yesterday ? they havent been moved.... field is completely in open view... maybe lay under snow ?

Contacted the RSPCA over 2 times, they said it doesnt matter, they will be fine, its not an emergency.

Anyone have any other views or where I should turn to next?

RSPCA are not worth the bother get in contact with WHW world horse welfare they are best I'd also suggest putting this in main area the tack shop as more people in there able to help
Poor things sound like they are near to their last breath and that's so sad :(
Do hope something can be done to save them

so do I, just no-one seems bothered.

My mother is on the phone to the ones you just mentioned now! - Will hope for the best.

This will surely make it to the paper... RSPCA - Always let a healthy animal down.

It will be so bad if they actually die with the RSPCA knowing this and claiming its not urgent and they will be fine?

Surely the words, starving with no water would mean something alone.

SUCCESS!!

We contacted the police who got so ****** off they called the RSPCA again for us.

A manager from RSPCA contacted me and apologised for the efforts of the phone agents we spoke to, said they could of handled the call more appropriately and they will send a field agent out!

Should be out here within 2 hrs...

Lucky someone cared enough to keep bothering! God knows what could of happend.

Oh good, keep us informed... go out there with a camera if you can and take some shots... someone else having some photographic evidence is always a bonus and motivation for the rspca, and you can always forward these pics to another organisation should the rspca not be proactive enough in your opinion. Always a good thing too, to take some snaps and if they start saying its not serious enough drop into the conversation 'the papers should hear about horses kept like this - I might ring them:rolleyes:'

So they have no food but they have hay bales? And they are cobs tethered? Yes they should have water but doesn't sound the end of the world to get someone there within an hour!
