I've been wanting to be more independent travel wise (always had to ask partner to trailer me as Ive never felt confident) for some time. finally treated myself to a little 3.5t Marlborough van recently (old but super low mileage and really looked after) and yesterday did my first trip out to meet with friends for a hack. partner came for moral support and helped here and there but I felt so chuffed. Pony behaved, loaded so much better than she ever did in the trailer, didn't sweat up like in the trailer (must be she likes to be rear facing, not sure), I loved driving the van and hack was great. so it now opens up a world of opportunity! my goals would seem so small to some but it would be such an achievement to me to be able to try a fun ride this year for the first time ever :)

That's great :)

I still have to get used to the idea that if I want to take my boy out I can do it without having to see if someone else wants to go and has space in their lorry etc. I love having my little 3.5t.

I never had horse transport of my own before, this past year has been great. I just love the freedom and independence.

I do think the 3.5t are great to drive and use. Hoe you have lots of fun this year. The more you do, the more comfortable you will get with it.
