Cooked chicken wing

Some eejit (why, why do I live with this man) decided that rather than place his nibbled crispy salt/pepper/chilli/garlic wing on the spare plate that he'd chuck it there instead, thereby not having to heave his bulk off the sofa.

Said wing skidded off the plate and literally straight into a set of waiting jaws, who swallowed it whole despite valiant attempts to put her in a chokehold.

Is she going to be alright or will I be carrying her to the vets at 3am tomorrow with shards of chicken bone perforating her bowel? :o
 
I'm 99% sure it went down whole, there was just a snick as she caught it and by the time I'd reached across the table to throttle her it had already gone down. :o

She is a great deal bigger than a wing!

My Sibe has a habit of raiding local biins for carcassas given half a chance & survived so far, although the day she ate the pheasants leg she made herself bleed trying to pass it out the other end (that was the worse Poopicking i have EVER had to do!) dimwit of a dog she is.
 
Hope it will be fine, but just to ask, does doggy have cast iron tum? Cause I'm thinking chilli and pepper might cause trotty botty?!
 
See I am not in the least concerned about carcasses and so on, a few weeks back she ate the best part of a freshly caught pheasant and for dinner today she'd had three chicken wings but they were all raw - this bone was decidedly deep-fried and brittle.

Paisley, dog in question is very sensitive and has a wheat intolerance. :o I am expecting a bum explosion tomorrow dependent on how much batter was left on it, can't imagine the chilli will help matters! :eek:
 
Just keep an eye on her, I am sure she will be fine. As above I suspect the chilli and pepper might cause more trouble knowing her rather delicate stomach.:eek:
 
One of mine swallowed a whole cooked one a few years ago (she stole it). She was fine. I wouldn't intentionally feed one of course but I wouldn't be too worried especially if it went down whole.
 
Ooh, I really do sympathise , I have my own stupidly delicate stomach (we don't do any form of curry, grrr).

Already thinking of the soothing powers of yoghurt, good luck!
 
Right, this morning she has produced a truly astonishing amount of wind (thankfully only noisy and not smelly :o) but still hasn't had a poo, which concerns me as she usually goes on the mid-morning walk.

Will probably have the 'oss vet out tomorrow so I'll get him to give her a squeeze if she hasn't produced anything by then. Blardy animals!

You might want to just attach a poo bag (or maybe a black bin liner) to her bum, it will save so much trouble:p:D

Hope she's ok, I'm sure she will be fine - after all, look at all the stuff Henry manages to snarfle down without a problem!
 
Late last night she produced a pathetically small, wet but mostly formed poop so I think she's going to live. :rolleyes: :o

Still hasn't gone again today but has a good appetite and is her normal self. Vet definitely coming to see B this afternoon so I will ask him to have a quick palpate to be on the safe side. :)

I was expecting bin bag type proportions to be honest, I've gotten off lightly there! :D
