My boy likes to sleep on my duvet [pure white], regardless of positioning of throws etc, it needs to be laundered weekly to keep it clean.
I have the solution I bought a cooler thing for my laptop and he is fascinated, lies as close as possible to it. So my duvet is spared and he now has air conditioning.

Might have to try it with mine... long-haired, black fluffy cat + white sheets doesn't make for fun washing days
