The lady who bred Liberty (one of mine), was very impressed with her one by him, says he's a strapping big lad. He's 3 next year I believe. The only one I know I'm afraid.
I tried to use him a few years ago because he was available chilled. Paid the reservation fee etc. Phoned to let them know I needed it because mare was coming into season, only to be told that he would be unable to fulfill his stud requirements due to competition commitments. I was seriously unamused! So had to change stallions ASAP. Luckily Concorde was available so used him instead. It put me off using CCD again which is a shame because he is a fab horse.
My cousin has just brought an 8 year old by him for her 13 year old daughter. From all accounts it is a super horse (should be for the price!!). Nice cool head and jumps anything.
I don't know much about him as a stud, but as a horse he is gorgeous and lovely. Super temperament, beautiful looks, amazingly talented. I remember him as a youngster and he was always something very special.
I think he's gorgeous and would have been the second choice stallion for my mare if the first hadn't worked out. I've seen him at shows, actually was parked near his lorry and he was very well behaved being tacked up and to handle and is very impressive up close, he really is eye catching. I know one horse who's by him, a lovely grey gelding, very handsome and an amazing jump but very nervy and tense (although I think that has a lot to do with where and how he's kept and ridden). I also love his sire, Glidawn Diamond, he's also on my short list of stallions for my mare.
My colt is by his son Cool Diamond Star (now back in Ireland). I believe CCD has an amazing temperment which seemed to have been passed onto his son. I have said in previous posts that I would have liked to use him direct, but could not justify his stud fee for my unpprd mare.
