cooler nights! when do you start??

hi all, i usually feed sugarbeet in the colder months.but i am undecided as to when to start as the nights are drawing cooler now.
last night dropped to 10c ....

what would you do.

ps also im looking for a 5ft 3 small fit rug for my youngster even though shes only 14.1hh.

if anyone knows any...they are proving hard to find.!

I dont think it matters when you start sugarbeet, ours have it all year round.

Can't help you on the rug i'm afraid

We used to start feeding SB when the grass started to go off. I don't feed it know as it doesn't suit my mare.

I tend to feed s.beet when grass goes off, at the moment its thick and fast!

I generally feed when the grass goes and they are in more.

10c has been the norm here all summer!
Sugarbeet starts when (more like if) the weight drops off normally

I started giving it to the veteran lad a couple of weeks ago, noticed he'd dropped a bit - the other 2 are fatties, so they get a 'gesture' of a tea, whilst he tucks in to the good stuff...

I started sugar beet today oddly enough - my marker is usually if the temp falls below 10 degrees at night time.

My boy is in a fleece at night and in almost all the time at the moment. The thing is, i don't want him to grow a coat as he is a nightmare to clip. xx
