Cooling saddlecloth/numnah

Murphy is a very hot pony, and is getting very sweaty under his saddlecloth (he is very sweaty all over...lovely).

I want to get him a new numnah or saddlecloth for summer as his current one is quite a heavy material, so I'm wondering if there's any really clever ones out there that are designed to keep a horse slightly cooler by using a special material or something??

It needs to be reasonably padded and he has to have a Prolite pad between it and the saddle.

any suggestions???

I have never personally used one, but would expect a Thermatex one to do the job pretty well judging by there coolers.

I've tried a few of these as I also had a very sweaty horse in the past. Best one I found was one of those waffle-type material ones.

Take a look at the Barnsby ones.I am impressed by them, cost around £60,see the features, I have used one in competition and would buy one

Have used Bucas saddle clothes on ours for yrs, they have wicking properties and are usually under £30, still have some in everyday use that are over 10 yrs old have been very impressed with them

I have no knowledge of them but the same company do a cooler rug which has been highly recommended to me by several people. Think they are also made in uk (I am on a buy british mission at the mo )
