As above really.

How do you cope with no school? How do you manage to keep your horses ticking over during winter?. Is it possible to still compete in unaff dressage events with little riding over winter and no school?

I dont have access to a school after work, so during the winter, I ride at weekends. We also do dressage. I aim to do the improving through the summer months, and keep her ticking over, not letting things deteriorate over the winter. This means no slobbng along on hacks, but working on transitions within and between paces, staying off the forehand, lateral work where possible....

We do ok. :D

I ride in the mornings. I have use of a school over the road - the surface is shocking though so only use for flatwork once a week. I also try & get either a jumping or flatwork lesson once a week at my trainers place. I also have some disused tracks at the back of my place there is a nice 20-30 min hack I can do there just as its starting to get light.
But I'm not going to lie....I'll be glad when my manège goes in
