My 18yr old cob has ringbone and is on 1/2 bute a day plus supplements. It has been suggested that a copper pastern strap might help (We have magnetic boots that didnt seem to make much difference) Any recommendations please? the only ones i can find are the forbes ones and at £32, they seem a little pricey..yes i am probably being tight but it is January..

Get these from Magnetic - £25 each.

Cairo had low ringbone and for him they worked very well - he went from 4 bute a day and hobbling to no bute and able to have a good canter on soft ground and was 1/10th lame. I won't say they will work as well on your horse, but they are certainly worth a try.

He had them introduced over a week and then they stayed on 24 x 7 until he died. If I took them off, after a week he went pottery, so as said, they did something for him.
