What ratio of copper sulphate to water do you use for a spray for horses feet?

I just mixed enough in water to make it blue. My farrier swears by it a s a treatment for thrush!

I mix up a big bottle of 2 litres to maximum solubility in water, so i use Around 1 tablespoon copper sulphate crystals.
Shake it up vigorously, allow sediment to settle
I then transfer/pour off in to smaller 500ml spray nozzle bottled.

Copper sulphate crystals always seem to have particles which dont dissolve so those can clog the spray nozzle if you mix it in the spray bottle and shake before using....such a pain standing there foot in hand squeezing the trigger 30 times with nothing coming out. So now i have a separate larger mix bottle.

Once ive used 1 litres of the 2ltr mix bottle, i top up with more water only and shake. There’s plenty more crystals settled on the bottom to dissolve.

Buy the powder.....it makes life a lot easier! Or, alternatively, use a mortar and pestle to crush the crystals.

Yes, the crystalised powder is easier...i’ve never used large crystals of the stuff!

If you dry the crystals out in a low oven they will turn into the powder as the water of crystallisation is evaporated off

CuSO4.5H2O --> CuSO4 + 5H2O
