Please can someone recommend a quiet pair of cordless clippers?

I am looking to buy a pair secondhand (have just sold my mains operated ones so budget is circa £100 secondhand), so don't mind a pair that are a few years old....but which ones run reasonably quietly? I have a not good to clip horse so quiet is quite important!

Thanks! :-)

I have Lister Liberty's and last year (first year with them) managed to clip the face of my very difficult to clip horse.

if you buy second hand clippers please get them serviced and PAT tested before you use them! at least you will know they are running ok and are safe! and if mains please use a circuit breaker.

Thanks for all the recommendations!

I have been having a good look around, and came across the Liveryman Harmony clippers - at £160 new I may go for these (only about £20 more than getting a second hand pair it seems!! Stuff on e-bay seems to be going for quite a lot, well, what I look at does!!), I would rather have a new pair than a second hand pair, that as person above says, would need to be serviced first.

liveryman harmony, my horse was unclipable, really quiet, low vibration, can get a small and large blade i did a full clip with them and trimming - she even let me do her head mine cost £114 new inc a years warranty

Completley agree with the Liveryman Harmony, my horse was also unclippable without a twitch until we found these. I struggle with a full clip as he is very hairy but they are great for finer hair, introducing them clipping ears and face etc, highly reccommended!

Ooo where did you find them for £112 Pollygbaker??

I will be using them for a TB, who will only get a low trace clip anyway, so they should be more than man enough!
