so theyr not ideal thank you

I have a pair of Lister Liberty clippers...they have a mains attachment but also have a battery pack. They aren't as loud as regular mains clippers but they aren't silent. I would highly recommend these, I have a welsh cob and they clip his hairy hairy coat with no problems.

Thats great news for me too....I have been looking at investing in a pair of cordless as I have a fjord who gets very hairy this time of year and I find my heavy duty mains ones to be just too heavy to do a full clip, by the time I am half way around my arms ache!

I own a cob just like yours, scared of the cord!

He has the same coat and feather, and I brought about three years ago the Heiniger cordless...best thing I brought.

They have a charge time of 50 minutes, but go on alot longer,or I'm just getting faster at clipping

I only use them for legs,as not keen on feather and his freeze mark patch and now use them round his head(Used to use trimmers, but he is now used to them, his not bothered.)They are not cheap retailing at £350,but a really good investment.I clipped out a hunter last year as a favour, and the clip was really good and there was still life in them, even after the 50 minutes!
Tip:If you buy these you only need to use standard blades on your cob,and buy them where I brought them, alot cheaper and you get very good advise.

I have a set of oster power pro cordless they come with 2 batteries each one takes 20 mins to charge and give a running time of aroung 50 mins on each battery i have a very very hairy cob. They go through her feathers and i have hogged her with them , must be honest though wish i had the heineger ones as they look more professional and mine cost the same price as them , i got mine off ebay quite cheap but they do the job fine.

I've got some Heininger cordless ones. They are great.

Enough grunt to clip both my TBx and my hairly pony. Had them for years, and as someone said above they are the best thing I ever bought.

If you go for them, make sure you get 2 batteries, then you can clip continuously.

I have Wahl Moser avalon ones, they were very reasonably priced, I did the final clip on 2 hairy natives this spring with them, put them away and I have just done my first clip of the autumn season with them. Very pleased with them, I got lots 3 clips out of the first battery charge, and they are not noisy at all. I didn't buy them for their quietness though, but because there is no electric on our yard.
