Cordless clippers

Think it would need to be a very fine and VERY clean (no undercoat grease) coat ...
I know people who have done small clips on a TB but only ever in early season so I have no idea how it would cope with coats at this time of year. (on my cob that wouldn't even do his face right now!)

If you are after robust good value cordless I can't recommend Sureclip enough, batteries last 45mins-1hr and charge in 20mins and you get 2. Have been clipping my big guy no probs for years with them and they are £125!

I'd recommend the Liveryman with battery pack instead, I bought them this year and they are pretty decent for your average hobbyist. I clipped both of mine with them and they did a good job, I spent several hours working on my younger horse as she was nervous and the battery lasted the entire time. A few different blades were included which was nice.

I bought some Master Clip HD Roamers - 2 x battery packs / charger and 2 sets of blades £199 - I have clipped some really thick coats and they are brilliant clippers.

I have the liveryman Classic trimmer as per your link and they are fine for trcky bits / faces but not a whole clip. They are very narrow so it would take all day plus they cut very close so not a good look for the body.

For proper clippers try Moser Avalon: cordless and fixed snap on blades so no faffing at all - can easily clip a HUGE ID horse, hairy cobs / Haflingers. Quiet, light and the charge last for ages. I bought mine 2nd hand 4 years ago and I prefer them to the mains powered one I bought this year (silly me dont know I did that!)

I have these and they are fab! I can do a full clip on two hairies and half a Shetland on one battery charge. Will clip the thickest of coats. They are not as quiet as some battery clippers and as the battery pack fits into the end you do need to get used to the weight, having said that though I love mine!
