Yeah. The price you quote is for use for fuel not bedding though. It's £270 for bedding inc delivery. I've had 2 lots now and pleased with them. Think Verdi maybe a bit fluffier and work out same price as in 15k bags
 
Oh Okay yes your right it was fuel. I once contacted a pellet company who told me they were exactly the same product just different packaging?
I *think* I used Verdo last winter but cant for the life of me think where I got it or the cost (or even how much I bought, which would be handy!)
 
It's actually the VAT that changes the price. It is lower for fuel

This is going to sound odd. But girl on my yard had 4 verdo today and then put 4 bags of Corley next to it and they covered almost same area. I don't know how as when you feel them verdo feel a little fluffier lol

Main thing is Corley are £2.70 for 10k
Verdo £4.15 for 15k. Too me that makes Corley better value

Interesting someone on here switch to straw pellets and hated them. Probably a different brand. Which wood pellets were you using?
 
Corley sell Brites (same as LWP) but a much nicer company to deal with!

As Five Star are not trading atm (and the company that supply their pellets has, imo, behaved just a bit underhand!) I think it'll have to be Corley for us this winter :-(

Verdo are rubbish! Dark, horrid & not very absorbent, yuck!
 
Milkmaid do you think Brites are going to be better than Verdo? I wasn't keen on the Verdo ones really but they showed me wood pellets worked for me, I just want better ones!
Mycocorocks- that's interesting, any savings good so will have a look. I don't think I've heard any good reviews on straw pellets though? My horse is prone to dusty coughs so am keen to limit dust.
Anyone else used straw pellets?
 
I've always used Corley Bio Wood for the past 2 winters but felt that they weren't absorbent enough last year, I was having to put a bag a day down for my big horse and the bed was still really wet. I've just done an order with Eden Products who are supplying the pellets that 5 Star used to supply until 5 Star are up and running again so will see if these are any better than the Corley ones.
 
I loved the Corley Biowood, although I was deep littering. Absolute pain in the bum to muck out otherwise bewcause they're so much heavier than shavings, which can only be a reflection on the absorbency.
