Ditto, tesco, 3 litre bottles, costs about £3.50 i think????

I love it, have always fed it to mine and recieved many complements about how glossy her coat is (and that sure isn't down to grooming which I am very lazy about

Dozy question -why is corn oil better than veg oil? Brooklyn gets veg oil in her feed to help boost her weight in the cold weather now she's working again, but would corn oil genuinely be better, and why?

All oils have roughly the same amount of calories, so for weight gain they all have similar affect. If you are concerned about the Omega 3/Omega 6 balance, then the best oil for that is linseed, followed by rapeseed (which is what is in Sainsbury's and Tesco's vegetable oil).

The reason corn oil is sometimes preferred is that it is from one source. Some horses can react to the blended vegetable oils though personally I've never yet come across a horse who has.

i buy my oil in 25l tubs from Makro, saves a lot of money and time. It also has vitamin E in as a preservative - all the better for the neddies.

Not all oils labelled 'vegetable oil' are blended. Sainsbury's is definitely pure rapeseed oil, and when I bought Tesco's that was too. Best to read the labels carefully!
