Correct dress for dressage??

Hi,

A friend of mine is going to do a couple of dressage comps at my yard on my boy, problem is she doesn't know exactly what she must wear for it! Obviously black jacket, beige jods, hat, but do you need to wear a stock or a tie? And I know you have to have long boots but are you allowed to wear leather gaiters instead?? Thanks Samxx

Either tie or stock, I prefer stock though for dressage, should be cream and plain for black jacket though. And I imagine leather gaiters are fine!

not sure about gaiters although i think you can, but you must wear gloves!

Oh yeah forgot about gloves! I hope gaiters are ok as she's a very odd size and has problems finding long boots to fit :S Also do you know if your allowed to use the flexi stirrups?

i compete BD in gaiters - as long as they are the same colour as her boots it makes no difference.

Nothing in BD rules about flexi stirrups, I use mine affiliated.

gaiters or half chaps are quite acceptable, so long as they 'match' the boots.
