I know this is a pretty basic question but when i am in the school how do i know if my horse is on the right leg? Problem is if the right leg felt any different i think i could work it out BUT even when she is on the wrong leg its just as comfortable???

I'm surprised it feels the same on the right and wrong legs. Either your horse has an amazing counter canter or an unbalanced true canter.
To check just glance down - if he's on the correct leg you will see the inside shoulder stretching forward more than the outside shoulder.

agree with little critter, i've never not been able to feel it, but as said if you look at the inside shoulder it should be clear.

Inside shoulder trick is fabulous but as for the feeling of it- you almost feel a pull if they have struck of on the wrong leg like car pulling to the side slightly- bad at explaining this!
- you'll get it with time :D:D
