Hi thinking of doing a unaff showing show, Its been about 15/20 years since competing in showing, I do dressage so only have a dressage saddle an have to use a sheepskin girth sleeve as other wise girth rubs would it be ok? Wouldnt use a saddlecloth or would a white saddlecloth be ok? I dont really want to buy new stuff as may not do it again!but on the other hand I dont want to be ignored by the judge for not looking the part lol
Prob novice ridden an riding club horse!or do I just go dressage that weekend ??‍♀️

I sometimes use my dressage saddle for showing when judge not riding so Yes you could do. If sheepskin is dark coloured on dark coloured horse it wouldnt be the end of the world. Either shaped numnah that doesn’t really show or no numnah. It does depend on judge, standard of show etc but if for fun why not do it. Don’t wear a stock as that would look very wrong. In showing it’s a collar and tie unless evening performance. enjoy it for the experience
