I have recently has the vet out to my Tb Mare who has a 'strange' gait at canter after many people remarked that she looked lame. She has been given the all clear and the vet said that in canter instead of placing her feet and following the stride threw she is fine on her left leg but is dragging her right to meet. (if this makes sense).
Overall there is nothing physically wrong with her but she is not supple enough in her hind. The vet suggested more work to engage the behind and a joint supplement such as cortaflex.
She can be stiff in the morning when coming out the stable and her legs fill quickly when stabled for too long.
So my question is really which joint supplement is best?!?
I know its trial and error but i don't really want to waste time on something that doesnt work.
Any advice?
