My boy has mild synovitis in both knees.
He got cortisone injections in both knees last week, as I felt he was looking a bit off/unlevel.
It had been over a year from he last got them done.
Unfortunately, the injections don't seem to have worked this time.
He does look a bit better but def not as good as he usually looks after them.
Has anyone else experienced this?
He has only had a total of 3 sets of injections over the past 2 years.
My vet is coming out tomorrow to look at him.
Any advice/ideas welcome...sick with worry.

There will come a point when the injections won't work, unfortunately.

Is he on a daily amount of bute??

Amymay - We haven't needed to use bute up to this point, but will def have to consider that now.
My main priority is that he is not in any pain.
Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully my vet will be able to suggest something!

My mare had a cortisone injection into her spine so slightly different but it seemed to wear off after tiem, somebody mentioned to me about using Devils Claw and it worked a treat, its a herbal remedy so it might be worth giving it a go, it takes a while to kick in but fingers crossed the results have been good. I also checked with the vet as they are not always convinced about herbal remedys and she said its worth a try as it won't do her any harm even if it doesn't work might be worth considering as an alternative you've got nothing to lose. Its about £20 for a months supply I used something called 'Devils Relief' but there are various options on the market.
