I have just bought this joint supplement for my arthritic horse and have a question about the 'loading dose'.

For a horse the size of my boy, they should get 3 scoops AM then another 3 scoops PM. However, because of work I can only get down the the stables at tea time each day. This will be fine once the loading dose period of 4 weeks is over but for now I'm worried that giving him the whole 6 scoops might be too much for his tummy!

Has anyone any experience of feeding this supplement and able to give me some advice?

Thanks.

I'm afraid not, but I too am looking at using this particular supplement for my horse after it has come highly recommended by my vet.

If I were you, I would contact the manufacturers of it, to ensure you get the correct advice...or ask your vet.

Hope your boy gets some relief from it and you see an improvement soon.

£92.21 from Vets Uk Ltd online, free postage, 700gm. Very quick and reliable service. Doesn't seem to be vatable looking at my latest invoice.

I don't think it causes stomach upsets at all, so I wouldn't worry too much about the loading does causing problems. Unless anybody else has any other experiences.

It didn't cause my horse any tummy trouble, and I gave her the loading dose in one feed per day :)

I now feel like a total numpty because when i re-read the leaflet that came with the tub it actually says it's fine to give it in one dose if you need to! Obviously I couldn't see for looking!

I also got mine online from Vets Uk Ltd online for £92.21 with free postage. And it arrived the next day which was great.

Thanks all for your replies. xx
