I have a 20 ex racehorse, I've had him two years and hes progressively getting stiffer. I'm guessing he's getting arthritis, not a surprise obviously. Today I could hear his legs cracking in trot while lunging him it sounded painful however he is sound and does quite hard work for his age.
I have had him on Superflex which did work but I've decided Cosqeuin looks like a good option for him but I'm not sure which type to get. Right now he's doing flatwork at least 3 times a week and jumping over 2ft once a week. Hes not in pain or lame due to his workload I just want to get him less stiff and prevent the arthritis for progressing even more so which type cosequin would be recommended?
Also are there any long term problems with using Cosequin? (liver, ulcers, ect.)
