Posted here as I need fencing for a bit of land where the horses never go do it doesn’t need to be horse or sheep-proof. We have a long thin area of steeply sloping grass/scrub land. The boundaries are currently a dry stone wall at the far end which is tumbling down - the other side of that is a field where there are sometimes Shetlands. One of the long sides is a mostly intact dry stone wall and the other side oc the wall is wooden posts and electric rope so that’s fine. The other long side is at the bottom of the slope - the boundary runs alongside a ditch so it gets pretty wet in winter. The other side is woodland belonging to our neighbours and is full of wildlife and fascinating smells. There are remnants of rotten chestnut palisade fencing which needs to come out. My younger dog tends to run first and think later so at the moment when he’s in that field he’s always on a long line but I’d like to make it more secure. What are my options? He’s medium-sized, doesn’t jump and doesn’t have a strong prey drive - he just needs a physical barrier up to about human waist height. It doesn’t need to look particularly pretty as it’s not going to be that visible and because it’s so wet at the bottom I’d be concerned about wooden posts lasting. Any ideas? Bonus points for options which won’t require me to sell too many organs
